Luge Vaginoplasty, which does not cut away the vaginal wall, is a procedure that takes into account the condition of the vagina even after menopause

Luge Vaginoplasty is surgery that shapes a stretched vaginal wall into natural folds without cutting it away.

It has three parts: pelvic muscle strengthening, rugae surgery (vaginal folds) and vaginal axis correction (G-spot enhancement). It takes about an hour under sedation or local anaesthesia, and you go home the same day. Recovery takes 6 weeks.

Why UROGYN does not remove the vaginal mucosa

The mucosa secretes mucus and plays an important part in keeping the vagina moist.

So if the vaginal mucosa is cut away, severe vaginal dryness may develop after menopause.

  1. 01. Pelvic muscle strengthening

    This step firms up the muscles around the vagina. Strengthening the pelvic muscles may make elasticity more than five times stronger. Vaginoplasty that uses only the vaginal mucosa can lose its elasticity within a few months.

  2. 02. Rugae surgery (vaginal folds)

    This step creates folds in the vaginal wall. When a smooth vaginal wall becomes ridged, the sensation felt by a male partner may become stronger.

  3. 03. Vaginal axis correction (G-spot enhancement)

AFTERCARE

After Luge Vaginoplasty

  1. The day after surgery

    Be sure to pull out the gauze near the entrance.

    • The gauze was placed to stop bleeding. If it is not removed, it will cause an odour.
    • Medicine is prescribed for 5 to 7 days. Stop at once and call us if you feel heartburn, retching or nausea.
    • From the next day, fill a basin with lukewarm (slightly cool) water deep enough to cover your bottom, dissolve a 500-won-coin-sized amount of cleansing solution (Clinosan) in it, and take a 10-minute sitz bath morning and evening for 2 weeks.
    • Wear well-ventilated clothing for 2 weeks.
    • At home, let the area air as much as possible.

  2. 3 days

    Use an ice pack for 3 days.

    If you had a urinary catheter, you need to come in for a check after 3 days. If urine does not come easily after the catheter is removed, press on your lower abdomen as you pass urine, and contact the clinic.

  3. After 1 week

    Use Gyno-Betadine vaginal pessaries only when odour and discharge are heavy.

    From 1 week after surgery, insert one Gyno-Betadine vaginal pessary before bed, only when odour and discharge are heavy.

  4. 1 to 3 weeks

    You may have discharge and bleeding.

    • Wear a sanitary pad when you go out.
    • If there is a lot of bleeding, press on the area with gauze or a dry towel. Do not throw the pad away; take a photo and send it to us on KakaoTalk.

  5. Daily life

    Please keep to these in daily life.

    • No alcohol, smoking, public baths or saunas for 4 weeks. You may shower from the next day.
    • While you recover, avoid rubbing the surgical area, wearing tight underwear or trousers, strenuous exercise, squatting, lifting heavy loads, crossing your legs and cycling. Take care not to put downward pressure on the area.

  6. Call us if

    Call the clinic if you have a strong burning feeling, chills, itching, pain, swelling or hives.
