AFTERCARE

After mons pubis liposuction

  1. The day after surgery

    Cover the area with a waterproof dressing when you shower.

    • Until the stitches are removed, cover the surgical area with a waterproof dressing when you shower. You may shower from the day after surgery.
    • You will be prescribed medication for 5–7 days. If you have heartburn, retching or nausea, stop taking it at once and call us.

  2. One month

    Wear the girdle you brought with you.

    Wear the girdle you brought with you for one month to help the skin settle after liposuction.

  3. Every 2–3 weeks

    You will need Triam injections.

    • This area has about 5–6 times more fibrous tissue than fat elsewhere in the body, so after surgery it can swell or harden. To manage this, you will need Triam injections (every 2–3 weeks).
    • The standard course is 3 injections, but more may be needed depending on your condition.

  4. Visit schedule

    Visits are planned for 7 or 10 days after surgery, then about 3 more at 2-week intervals.

  5. Daily life

    Please follow these guidelines in daily life.

    • Avoid alcohol, smoking, public baths, jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouses), saunas and sex for 4 weeks (one month).
